The accident occurred on Bancroft Road near Mayhew Road. Concord police are also involved in the investigation as the accident occurred near the civic boundary, the Contra Costa Times reported.

At a hearing earlier this month about plans for a day care facility to move into a house on Mayhew Way, there was much discussion about speeding and traffic backups at Mayhew and Bancroft Road.
