UPDATE: Police Looking for Witnesses to Car Smash-N-Grab Spree

The suspects were riding around in two cars; police have the license plate number of one of the suspect vehicles.

The Walnut Creek police say six cars were broken into Monday morning in a series of smash-n-grabs* that took place in the shopping centers around Ygnacio Valley and Oak Grove roads, according to Lt. Bryan Hill. 

Police believe two men were involved. The police issued an alert at about 10:11 saying the burglaries had occurred and that the suspects may be breaking into more cars. Police are asking for the public's help in catching the two, who may have been riding in two cars. 

The suspects are described as two white males in their early 30s with shaved heads and wearing black clothing. One suspect as a red goatee and a picture of a skull on his shirt.

The first suspect car is a a gray, older model vehicle, possibly a Mazda with a "wave symbol" in the back window. The second is a dark-colored VW Passatt with the license plate "4RSC406." The rear plate has the last 4 digits covered with tape.

Please call 925-935-6400 if you see the suspects or vehicles. Do not approach these suspects as they may be dangerous.
