Concord Man Accused of Overnight Break-In at Walnut Creek Fitness Studio

A Concord man, 42, was caught early Friday morning running from a burglarized exercise studio in Walnut Creek and arrested, according to police. 

At 1:28 a.m. Walnut Creek police responded to a reported burglary in-progress at The Bar Method at 1946-A Mt. Diablo Blvd.

Arriving officers spotted the suspect, Juan Rodriguez, allegedly running from the building, but he eluded authorities, police said.

A perimeter was set up and a police K-9 officer was utilized, and Rodriguez was found and arrested, police said.  

He was allegedly in possession of stolen property and positively identified as being responsible for two separate commercial burglaries to the same business, according to police.

Rodriguez was arrested for suspicion of commercial burglary, possession of stolen property and an unrelated warrant, and booked at the Martinez Detention Facility.
