Copper Thieves Slow Down Walnut Creek BART
Theft of copper wire delays an improvement project for Walnut Creek, BART says.
BART officials said that a project intended to speed up trains in Walnut Creek was delayed 10 months because of the recent serial thefts of copper wire.
That announcement was made in the context of the arrest of a San Francisco man suspected of stealing copper in West Oakland on Tuesday, according to a report on the KCBS website.
