UPDATE: Four-month-old East Contra Costa baby found safe

The 14-pound baby was found safe in Southern California Monday.

The Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office is reporting Monday that a four-month-old baby who disappeared from her bassinet sometime Saturday night has been found safe in Southern California.

Ramy Amadea Gallego, a blue-eyed, 14-pound girl, was last seen at 10 p.m. Saturday when she went to sleep in her home in the town of Knghtsen. On Sunday at about 6:20 a.m., the Contra Costa County Sheriff's dispatch received a call from the Trule Lane home that the little girl was missing. 

The mother discovered her little girl missing when she went to check on her at about 6 a.m. and found that her baby was not in her bassinet.

Costa County sheriff's spokesman Jimmy Lee said Monday morning that the infant had been located and was now with detectives who traveled to Southern California. He did not release further details on how the girl ended so far from home but detectives are interviewing three people in connection with the
case.
