Thursday, September 8
Busted window and stolen bike. Mike’s Bikes on North California had a large window broken at 4:50 a.m. A pricy road bike valued at $7,500 was stolen.
Stop means stop! Drivers on Treat Boulevard and Carriage Drive, please abide by the law and stop when you see the crossing guard in the mornings. Thanks.
Four more bikes. Four bicycles were stolen from a garage on the 100 block of North Creek Circle.
Double kudos. Kudos, city of Walnut Creek worker that found a wallet this afternoon, and turned it over to the police. Another kudos goes to the citizen who found an engagement ring on Locust Street.
Friday, September 9
Smile and say busted! A video surveillance captured an unknown subject that kicked a door into a business on the 2200 block of Oak Grove Road at 6:45 a.m. Money from the register was reported stolen.
Lost bather. “A partially clothed transient was bathing” in the fountain on Mt. Diablo Boulevard and California Boulevard at 1:40 p.m, according to reports. Upon arrival police did not locate the alleged bather.
Ouch! A man declined medical help after he accidentally hit his head on an ATM on the 1600 block of Olympic Boulevard at 2:56 p.m. Feel better.
Joy rider identified. The person who allegedly stole a Diablo Hills golf cart last week, a juvenile, was arrested at 10:07 p.m.
Saturday, September 10
Investigating sexual assault. A woman reported being allegedly sexually assaulted by men in a rear alley behind a club on the 1300 block of Locust Street at 12:28 a.m.
Key scratch. A 72 year-old woman was arrested on charges of vandalism after a neighbor allegedly saw her key a car on the 2200 block of Ptarmigan Drive at 8:15a.m.
Not cool? Did you lose a Coleman cooler downtown? The police booked it into evidence.
Grow up, parents. Verbal threats were allegedly made to a football coach at Las Lomas High School during a game this evening. Good grief — way to set a good sportsmanship example!
Disco down. Loud music and disco lights were not making one neighbor happy on the 2200 block of Walnut Boulevard at 9:07p.m. The police came back for second visit to warn the resident to pipe down.
Sunday, September 11
DUI. A man was arrested on charges of driving while under the influence after he allegedly caused a five-car accident on Ygnacio Valley and Bancroft at 12:15 a.m. The WCPD were busy tonight, arresting two persons on separate DUI charges.
A crime blog first. A woman was released from jail yesterday and arrested for violating a court order. Only to be arrested 24 hours later for public intoxication and violating her probation.
Knitting bag thief. To the jerk that broke into a VW Jetta on the 2600 block of Ygnacio Valley Road: did you really steal a knitting bag with a half-finished sweater? Lame. Please return it.
Monday, September 12
Stolen Honda. A 1994 Honda Accord license plate 6HAA347 was stolen from the 3200 block of Eccleston Avenue overnight.
Fruit bandit. To the driver of a grey Honda Accord, police have a report of your license plate number — you were seen stealing four or five fruit trees from in front of a store on the 1100 block of South California Boulevard at 11:30 a.m.
Location, location, location. A woman was arrested for driving on a suspended license, expired registration and no insurance, a block away from the DMV.
Cue the Deliverance banjos. Two men were seen shooting at animals with a pellet gun at a golf course on Marchbanks Drive at 4:51 p.m. The men were actually exterminators, who were hired by the golf course.
