Walnut Creek police reports from Sept. 22 to Sept. 24.

Thursday, September 22

Copper wire stolen. Copper electrical wire from ball fields no. 5 and no. 6 at Heather Farm Park was stolen sometime in the past two days. Bummer — Creek Diva is a big fan of the Walnut Creek Swingers softball team who plays there.

Missing keys: Someone has reported 15 work-related keys missing on the 3600 block of Arbolado. Hope you find them.

Soliciting. Police questioned a Greenpeace solicitor on Duncan and Main Street after a caller reported that the solicitor was requesting donations at 1:24 p.m. The solicitor was not asking for donations, just signatures.

Cacti. A man was arrested at 10:29 p.m. after he was seen allegedly stealing cacti from the Ruth Bancroft Gardens.

Friday, September 23

Valve closed. A water main broke on the 2300 block of San Juan Avenue at 3:53a.m. CFD responded to the call and was able to close the valve.

Missing bling. A caller reported the theft of jewelry that was hidden in a drawer of a master bedroom on Summit Road at 10:47 a.m.

Not very neighborly. A neighbor on the 2200 block of Oak Grove Road has been dumping their garbage in a neighbor’s trash can.

Kudos. To the citizen who found a lost a purse downtown! The owner was able to pick it up at the station.

Should be easy to spot. A black Chevy Silverado with “hang loose” sticker on rear window is missing from Pasto Court and Rolling Hills Drive.

Nutty. Two 15-year-old boys got into a fight while at the Walnut Festival. It's supposed to be a family event!

Saturday, September 24

Creek Diva needs her beauty sleep. To the guy who almost bailed on his cab fare at 1:25 a.m. on Creekside Drive, you woke Creek Diva up with your nonsense!

Hail a cab. WCPD made several arrests downtown for public intoxication and driving while under the influence, including one woman who crashed her car right outside a bar on Arroyo Way. Come on people, be safe and take a cab.

Nighttime break-in. A home on the 3400 block of Peachwillow Lane was burglarized via an open side door while the residents were sleeping. An iPod, laptops and Oakland A’s hat were stolen.

Name of what? An unruly trauma patient named “Rope” in the John Muir ER was trying to leave. All was well, when his buddy “Gravy” was able to pick him up, police reported.

Kudos. To the citizen who found a purse at an ATM downtown. If you are the owner, please describe what was in the purse. The police have it for safekeeping.
