Creek Diva: Aggression, Egging of Cars and A Back-Seat Snorer

Walnut Creek police reports from Nov. 12 to Nov 15.

Saturday, November 12

Aggressive. A man was warned by the police for trespassing at Safeway on South Broadway for “aggressive panhandling” at 12:30 p.m.

Bizarre. A caller phoned police after attending an estate sale on the 1700 block of Sunnyvale Avenue this afternoon, concerned about “rooms stacked so full of stuff” that it was not safe for the public to enter. The police determined the “messy house” was not a crime.

Young escapee. A three-year-old was seen riding his bicycle in the middle of Minert Road this afternoon after he was able to open an unlocked gate. Luckily he was not hurt and reunited with his parents.

Residential burglary. A home on the 900 block of Wiget Lane was burglarized sometime in the past 24 hours. “Extensive loss of jewelry, electronics and cash” were reported stolen.

Sunday, November 13

Call a cab. Four driving while under the influence arrests by 2 a.m. Folks, it’s that festive time of year. Please call a cab or have a designated driver.

A friendly reminder. The Farmers Market is on Locust Street on Sunday. Please be sure to move your vehicles or they will be towed.

Huevos! Seven calls were placed to the police from residents on Arbolado Drive, Stinson Circle and Tamarisk Drive after egg residue was discovered on several cars.

Impostor. A man posed as an AT&T Broadband employee at a residence on the 2100 block of San Luis Road and gained entry to a home. Four rings were reported missing. Readers, please inform your loved ones about this scam.

Monday, November 14

Passed out. A man was arrested on charges of public intoxication after a cab driver called police needing help with a “drunk subject passed out in the back of his cab” at 2:48 a.m.

Good silverware. Silverware worth $3,000 was reported stolen from a residence on the 2500 block of Lariat Lane.

Patio door smash. A home on the 100 block of Pioneer Avenue was burglarized via a patio door smash between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:00p.m. An iPod and jewelry were reported stolen.

Tuesday, November 15

Heads up neighbors. There were more vehicle break-ins on Creekside Drive. Make sure to take your valuables with you and lock your cars!

Mountain bike stolen. A locked green Avalanche mountain bike valued at $550 was stolen from a carport on the 2600 block of Jones Road.

Say what? A caller was concerned for a woman’s welfare after seeing her “wearing a headlamp and pushing an empty baby carriage” near Mallard Drive late this evening. Neither woman, headlamp nor carriage were located.
