Walnut Creek police reports from Sept. 1 to Sept. 4.

Thursday, September 1

Cash crime. An employee reported the ATM at the 76 Gas Station on the 2500 block of North Main Street was missing at 5:32 a.m. A security gate was damaged. 

Smile, you’re in hot water! Water heaters were reported missing from a supply yard on the 1500 block of San Luis Road. A man was seen on video surveillance at 4 a.m. Aug. 26 taking the small water heaters.

Fighting fitness. There was an altercation at a Zumba fitness class on Tice Valley Boulevard this afternoon. No one was visibly hurt.

Heads up, Homestead. More vehicle break-ins on the 1300 block have been reported. Make sure you lock your vehicles and take your swag with you. 

A Hazmat scene. A caller reported a 40-foot trail of blood and two blood-soaked paper towels from Dan’s Bar toward North Main Street. There was a bar fight the night before. 

Bust-in. A side garage door was kicked in on the 100 block of Via Mantilla, a laptop and digital camera was stolen between the hours of 9:10 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.  

Saturday, September 3

Bottle rockets. Considering the fire danger this time of year, lighting fireworks off anywhere in Contra Costa County is not a good idea. That goes for the fan of bottle rockets on the 1700 block of San Miguel Drive. 

Tips, not hits! A man was arrested on charges of assault after he allegedly hit the bartender at Club 1220 on Pine Street at 1:06 a.m.

Sunday, September 4

Take a cab. A woman was arrested on charges of drunken driving after she crashed her car into another vehicle at 1:46 a.m. on Dover Drive. Two other DUI arrests were made at 1:56 and 3:02 a.m. 

Not a good combo. One sawed-off shotgun and three marijuana plants were removed from a property on Terrace Road at 12:02 p.m.

Home break-in. A home on Sheppard Court was broken into via a rear glass slider. Electronics and jewelry were stolen. 

It’s just a phone, dude. A man was seeing “cursing and pacing” up and down Trinity Avenue at 5:06 p.m. because his cell phone battery died.
