Creek Diva: Close The Garage Door And Go Easy on the Booze

Walnut Creek police reports Jan. 22 to Jan. 26.

Sunday, January 22

Drunk. Three subjects were arrested on charges of being drunk in public downtown before 2 a.m.

Stolen Acura. A 2004 blue Acura MDX, license plate 5FUP948, was reported stolen from a driveway on the 300 block of Endicott Court at 1:18 a.m.

After-hours drinking. A group of Pyramid Ale House employees were advised of the ABC laws and given a warning after they were allegedly drinking past 2 a.m.

Stolen Honda. A green Honda Accord, license plate 2SRU678, was reported stolen from the 1200 block of Newell Hill Place between the hours of 4:25 a.m. and 9:25 a.m.

Music equipment stolen. DJ equipment was stolen out of a Chevy Astro on the 1400 block of Creekside Drive. Police technicians took prints from the vehicle.

Monday, January 23

Drunken guest. A Motel 6 guest was arrested on charges of public drunkenness when he allegedly refused to check out of his room at 1:29 p.m.

Soliciting. Two men were cited for soliciting without a permit on San Carlos and Fyne Drive at 2:27 p.m.

Tuesday, January 24

Open garage. A Haro brand mountain bike and Giant brand road bike were stolen out of an open garage on the 900 block of Monet Circle this morning.

Teen joy ride. A 15-year-old female took her parents' Land Cruiser without permission at 5:43 p.m. She did return home a short time later.

Wednesday, January 25

Busted! A cab driver chased two fare evaders on Oakland Boulevard and Trinity Avenue at 1:20 a.m. One of the men was arrested on charges of public intoxication. The other was charged with driving under the influence.

Embezzlement. A woman was arrested on embezzlement charges when she was pulled over in a stolen Hertz car rental vehicle on South Main and Broadway at 11:02 a.m.

Heads up! Another purse went missing from a grocery cart at Safeway on Broadway this afternoon. Ladies, do not leave your valuables in the cart.

Computer theft. An iPad, MacBook laptop and backpack valued at $2,700 were stolen from a Nissan Xterra that was parked on the 1100 block of South Main Street.

Thursday, January 26

New scam alert! A resident received a phone call from an unknown subject posing as a police officer with the Woodland PD. The caller told the resident that he had located a stolen vehicle and wanted to purchase the car for $1,800.  It was determined the call was a scam and the phone number used to place the call was disconnected.
