Creek Diva: Ease Up On The Bullhorn, The Gorilla Costume And The Alcohol

Walnut Creek police reports from Oct. 15-18.

Saturday, October 15

Drunken debauchery. WCPD arrested three people on charges of driving while under the influence, broke up several fights and got some after hour hot tub fans to go home, all before 4 a.m.

Northgate band, how did the concert go in Santa Cruz? A concerned neighbor was awakened at 6:21 a.m when you were warming up your instruments, police reported.

Catalytic neighborhood. A catalytic converter was stolen from a Toyota 4Runner that was parked on Westcliff Place overnight. Heads up people, Creek Diva has pinpointed this neighborhood for many of these thefts.

A real fake gorilla. A person seen in a mask was near a home on Stewart Avenue at 9:10 p.m. turned out to be a kid in a costume. Probably not the best costume considering

Sunday, October 16

Busy. My goodness, the WCPD were busy once again after midnight. Two men were arrested for fighting in public at 1300 Locust St. at 12:39 a.m. Another man was arrested at 12:56 a.m. on charges of public intoxication, also on 1300 Locust Street. A man was arrested for domestic abuse at 1:05 a.m on the 1900 block of North Broadway.

Two fights. A fight broke out at Tiki Toms and another fight at Vice Lounge on Arroyo Way shortly after midnight.

Bullish. A swim coach was told to cease using a bullhorn at swim practice at Larkey Park today at 6:27 p.m.

Monday, October 17

Injured dog. Thank you, kind citizen, who phoned police about an injured dog on Treat and Jones Road at 4:23 a.m. Creek Diva hopes the dog is OK.

Mace prevention. An attempted robbery occurred at 6:40 a.m. on Maria Lane. The suspect, described as a white or Hispanic male, in his twenties or thirties, 5-foot-8, ran off after the victim pulled out a can of mace.

School burglarized. Valle Verde Elementary was burglarized over the weekend. A safe was reported stolen.

Tuesday, October 18

Bad guys. A routine traffic stop at 2:39 a.m resulted in the arrests of two subjects on suspicion of grand theft auto, local warrants and being in possession of burglary tools.

Injured deer. Thank you, Animal Control, for helping an injured deer on Ygnacio Valley Road at 4:44 a.m.

Heartless. To the jerk that stole a walker from a garage on Hurlstone Court, return it!
