Creek Diva: Father-Son Trip to WCPD & Turkey RIP

Saturday, March 24

Multiple charges. A man on the 500 block of Via Appia was arrested on charges of assault, public intoxication, and resisting arrest at 4:38 a.m.

Lost a bumper? A large bumper from a white Pontiac was found in the middle of Lakewood Road and Homestead Avenue at 8:21 a.m.

Cell phone rules. An iPhone was stolen from a locker at Northgate High School and sold on Craigslist. The family did not want to file a report at this time. Parents, what are your rules about cell phones and kids?

Found him. A missing Suisun man was located after he was seen allegedly urinating in public behind a building on the 2300 block of North Main Street at 10:06 p.m. 

Sunday, March 25

Diva's shameless plug. Once again the WCPD was busy with various public intoxication and DUI arrests downtown. Please folks, don’t drink and drive! Shameless plug for Creek Diva’s favorite Walnut Creek cabbie, Kelly Porter for Chase Cab.

Animal rescue. A few ducklings were rescued out of a storm drain on Heather Drive and Marchbanks Drive at 11:33 a.m. Thank you, rescuers!

Bad driver. A woman was arrested on driving with a suspended license, probation violation, and allegedly driving while under the influence at on North Main and Treat Boulevard at 1:49 p.m.

Storage unit broken into. Storage unit was reported burglarized on the 2600 block of North Main Street and $1,800 worth of luggage and camping equipment was stolen.

Monday, March 26
Technology is on your side. Report potholes, parking issues, etc. on this website.

Poor turkey. A turkey was found dead on the 200 block of Summit Circle. The neighbor had confronted two teens in the area over the weekend. The two boys were seen allegedly shooting at the birds with a bow and arrow.

Conscientious. Cheers for a Saxby’s employee on North Main Street who found a customer’s personal items accidentally left behind and was able to return them. Well done!

Identity theft. Creek Diva has noticed a spike in identity theft related calls lately. People have reported that unknown subjects have used their social security numbers when filing taxes returns. Readers, how do you keep your tax filing safe?

Tough love. A father brought his teenage son into the police station along with 2.6 grams of marijuana to be destroyed by the police.

Tuesday, March 27

Cars vandalized. A man was arrested on vandalism charges after several car windows were smashed and dented doors on the 1300 block of Parkside Drive and Pine Street at 5 a.m.

Hit and run. Did anyone see a hit and run accident on the 1500 block of North Main Street with damage to a red GMC Yukon Denali around 4 p.m.? Please contact the WCPD if you have any information.
