Sunday, October 21

Back off buddy. A woman pushed a man away after he allegedly attempted to kiss then choke her on the 1500 block of N. Main Street at midnight. He was not located.

Several calls came in from various neighborhoods by Indian Valley, Dapplegray, and Tampico reported hearing gunfire around 8p.m. The source of the noises was not located.

Monday, October 22

A window of a Honda Accord was smashed in a parking garage on the 1300 block of Alma Avenue overnight. A Yamaha electric piano valued at $500 was stolen.

Several cars were broken into on the 1500 block of Locust Street this evening. A Dell laptop and an iPad were reported stolen. A friendly reminder, please take all your valuables with you.

Tuesday, October 23

Two FBI agents arrested a man after he allegedly threatened them in the parking garage by the movie theater on Locust Street 9:41p.m.

Wednesday, October 24

A gold Honda Accord license plate 4CPE041 was stolen from a parking spot on the 1900 block of First Avenue overnight. A “Women for Obama” magnet was on the back. Another white Honda was also reported stolen, license plate 6HQG543 from a parking spot on 2600 block of Baldwin Lane.

A group of Northgate students were cited on charges of being in possession of marijuana. One of the students was also cited on sales charges.

Thursday, October 25

Lotto scam. A person on Dos Palos Drive reported being scammed out of $10,000 after they sent the money to an unknown person in Lizella, Georgia.

Friday, October 26

Grab and run. A white male, 30-40 years in age, tall and medium build allegedly grabbed a diamond tennis bracelet valued at $2,000 from a store on the 2500 block of N. Main Street at 2:31p.m. The man in question was not located.

Be careful for what you wish for. An intoxicated man requested an ambulance at a restaurant on the 2000 block of N. Main Street. He ended up in the back of a police car charged with drunkenness.

Saturday, October 27

Raucous night downtown! Four people were arrested on drunkenness charges, two individuals for DUI, and a report of a theft of a purse from Redux. One person was arrested on assault charges on the 2700 block of N. Main.  Folks, I know it’s fun to party, but please tone it down. Ladies, never leave your purses unattended.

Say what? Several patrons of Vice Lounge on Arroyo Way called to complain about being charged a $50 cover charge at the door.

Another fight broke out between two men on the 2900 block of N. Main Street tonight. Both men were arrested. The victim was treated at a nearby hospital for a head injury.

I hate sand in parks. Nice breeding area for lice, and a great place for ferrel cats to poop. IRead More can't wait for them to do the park at Arbolado.

How about you research the current ADA guidelines regarding surface materials for play areas?Read More Walnut Creek is simply acting to be in compliance. Not sure where you get the idea that wood chips are "much more dangerous".
