Creek Diva: Hangover, WC Style, & Ex-Boyfriend's Revenge

Walnut Creek police reports from March 10 to March 12.

Saturday, March 10

Ms. Unlucky’s. Two ladies were arrested on charges of public intoxication when they were stopped leaving Mr. Lucky’s at 12:52 a.m.

Avoid Diva's door. A solicitor was warned for not having a proper permit on the 100 block of Pleasant Valley Drive at 8:19 a.m. Creek Diva would not be happy — permit or not — if someone knocked on her door at that early hour!

Creek stench. A caller reported smelling “decay” on Newell Avenue and Maria Lane, possibly from a homeless camp under the bridge. Police checked out the scene and found nothing suspicious or unusual, odor wise.

Lost keys. A citizen reported losing a set of keys possibly on the canal trail near Bancroft Road at 11:04 a.m.

Wife charged. A wife was arrested on charges of assault with a deadly weapon and domestic violence, after she allegedly stabbed her husband on the 1500 block of Geary Road at 7:25 p.m.

Leave them alone, kids. A group of juveniles were checking out the Lafayette Morehouse property, a group living "experiment," on Huston Road shortly before midnight.

Sunday, March 11

Scene out of the Hangover? A man phoned 911 requesting to speak to an officer about getting kicked out of Dan’s Irish Sports Bar at 12:13 a.m. He was then arrested on charges of being drunk in public. Six late night partiers were arrested on public intoxication charges downtown. Three others were arrested on DUI charges. A Crogan's patron was transported to a local hospital for alcohol poisoning.

Lover spurned. A woman reported that a large chunk of concrete was hurled through the rear window of her Honda Civic, possibly by her ex-boyfriend on Park Lake Circle.

Wallet seeks owner. A kind citizen turned in a wallet that was found at Rudgear Park. The police attempted to contact the owner, but the addresses and phone numbers on file are not correct.

Monday, March 12

Yikes! A man kept on “taking naps” in a store on the 700 block of Bancroft Road at 4:44 a.m. When police arrived, the man agreed to head home and go to bed.

Vandalism. The maintenance shop at Arbolado Park was reported damaged this morning. The damaged possibly occurred on March 9 at 2:30 p.m. and March 12 at 6:45 a.m. Nothing was stolen, but a rollup door was marred.

Drugs by mail will land you in jail. A caller reported finding a baggie with white powder in his mailbox on the 2200 block of Buena Vista Avenue at 7:22 a.m. The police booked and destroyed the baggie.

Recycle thieves. Two men were arrested for stealing cardboard recycling at the Safeway at Encina Grande at 4:22 p.m.
