Creek Diva: Honker, Guitar Picker & School Burglars

Walnut Creek police reports from Aug. 28 to Aug. 31, including thieves making off with $900 worth of LaCoste clothing.

Tuesday, August 28

Annoying. To the driver of the blue BMW that honks daily in front of a home on the 1100 block of Walker Avenue, would you please stop? It’s annoying. Thank you.

Purse found. A floral purse was found on the sidewalk near Bentley and Bancroft. If you think it’s yours, please contact the Concord PD since it was in their jurisdiction.

Roaring fire.

Live free or die. A caller lost his New Hampshire driver’s license possibly in the downtown area in the past 24 hours, as reported to the Walnut Creek Police Department.

What’s the problem? A caller complained about a guitar player in front of Safeway downtown. The manager told police that it wasn’t a problem, so the musician continued to play, softly.

DUIs. A woman was arrested on charges of driving while under the influence as well as violating her probation from a prior DUI arrest on North California Boulevard at 10:21 p.m.

Thursday, August 30

Tasteful thieves. Nine hundred dollars worth of LaCoste clothing was stolen by a group of unknown subjects at the Broadway Plaza store at 12:25 p.m.

Multiple charges. A man was arrested on shoplifting charges at Broadway Plaza at 5:12 p.m. The man was also charged with commercial burglary, being in possession of meth and had a felony warrant.

Friday, August 31

This ticks Creek Diva off! Several Murwood Elementary teachers had their wallets stolen by an unknown subject today. Thousands of dollars worth of fraudulent charges occurred at Nordstrom, Macy’s, and Target. Creek Diva hopes the jerk is caught.

Happy ending! A girl was hit while crossing the street on her bike near Target this afternoon. She was transported to Children’s Hospital, where she was released sometime later with a tailbone injury. Please wear your helmet and I’m glad you're OK.
