Tuesday, March 20

Yikes! A caller reported that a baby was left allegedly unattended in a gold minivan at Central Road and Crokaerts Street at 12:09 p.m. Police were not able to locate the driver or the vehicle upon arrival.

Connect card. An AT&T connect card valued at $400 went missing on the Kinko’s parking lot on the 1900 block of Mount Diablo Boulevard late last night. Hope it’s returned.

Unlocked car. An unlocked Volkswagen was broken into on the 1800 block of Ygnacio Valley Road this afternoon. A MacBook laptop, iPod, and Canon camera were reported stolen. Readers, do take your valuables with you and please lock your cars.

Possible scam. A landlord received a suspicious email from a man in England requesting information about a rental property in Walnut Creek. Police gave the caller advice about scams. Craigslist has common sense advice as well.

Wednesday, March 21

Is wearing a hoodie that suspicious? A caller reported that a young man wearing a hoodie driving a BMW convertible on Mi Elana Circle “took off when he” saw the caller at 5:53 a.m.

Turkey party. Fifteen turkeys were blocking Rudgear and South Broadway at 8:15a.m. The fowls fled on foot towards Vanderslice Court.

School fight. A 19 year-old male was arrested for allegedly assaulting a Northgate High School student at the back of the school at 11:19 a.m.

Stolen from trunk. $4,800 worth of American Express traveler’s checks and a Michael Kors purse was stolen from the trunk of a locked car in a parking garage on the 2000 block of North Main Street around noon.

Pornography? A caller phoned police about a photo shoot “that bordered on pornography” at North Main Street near Mel’s Diner at 1:45 p.m. Police contacted the photographer, who showed the photos, which were not obscene or pornographic, police reported.

Thursday, March 22

A man walks into a bar … A man had to leave personal items at a bar after he couldn’t cover his $171 bar tab on the 1300 block of Locust Street. Hope he returned to pay his tab in the morning!

Major road rage! There was a report of a man brandishing a gun from his waistband toward another driver on the 2600 block of Oak Road at 10:37 a.m.

Wine & water. A case of wine and water was found abandoned on the sidewalk in front of Rudgear Park and Ride.

Knife possession. A 13-year-old Walnut Creek Intermediate School student was released to his parents after being caught for being in possession of an 8-inch, fixed-blade knife this afternoon.

Friday, March 23

Nitrous oxide. Two tanks of nitrous oxide were stolen from a storage shed on the 2000 block of Ygnacio Valley Road overnight.

Happy Schwinn ending. Creek Diva is happy for the owner of a Schwinn City bicycle that was returned safely. It had been reported stolen a few hours earlier.

Please don’t shoot the birds. Police advised a resident on Almond Avenue after a neighbor phoned police about him allegedly “shooting a pellet gun” at birds.
