Creek Diva: Mercedes Keyed & Coated in Chocolate Syrup
Walnut Creek police reports from Aug. 24 to Aug. 27, including a friend who fell through the roof.
Friday, August 24
Santa, is that you? A caller phoned 911 after her friend fell through a hole on a roof located on the 2000 block of Tice Valley Boulevard at 12:37 a.m. Hope you are OK.
Not digging it. A company 1997 Ford F250 white truck with blue-stenciled “Dig This” on the sides was stolen from the 1300 block of Oakland Boulevard.
Wallet, bike found. A wallet and a black bicycle was found recently downtown. If you think the items might be yours, please contact the Walnut Creek Police Department at 943-5844.
Chocolate abuse. A caller reported that his Mercedes Benz was keyed and covered in chocolate syrup on Alpine Road sometime this morning.

Saturday, August 25
Break-ins. An unlocked car parked on English Court was broken into overnight. A Canon EOS Rebel camera, a gold ring, tools, and a Garmin GPS device were reported stolen. Nearby on Belford Drive, another caller reported a Brylee wakeboard was stolen from a garage.
Election yelling. It’s an election year, so that brings out debates of all kind. A report of a man with anti-Obama posters in front of Bank of America downtown that was yelling at someone, who called police. Creek Diva has had to deal with the same bunch of political pinheads.
Gear found in Arbolado Park. A bicycle, Razor scooter, and a bicycle helmet were found at Arbolado Park after hours. It was booked into WCPD property storage for safekeeping.
Sunday, August 26
Foul! A rightfully irritated caller phoned police to complain about people urinating near her home while playing golf at Diablo Hills Golf Course near Marchbanks and Kinross.
Fountain of youth! Two people were buying alcohol downtown but a caller was convinced that they were not of age. Wrong. Police determined they were both over 21.
Monday, August 27
Home burglarized. A home on the 2100 block of Overlook Drive was burglarized sometime during the day. A Vizio TV, watches, and change were reported stolen.
Library bike theft. Yet another bicycle was stolen from the library, this time a red Schwinn hybrid. It was locked in front of the west side of the downtown library. People, please do not use cable locks to secure your bicycles! Go see Creek Diva’s friend Brian at Performance Bicycles just a block away to get a proper lock.
8 wallets stolen. Two men and one woman were caught on video stealing eight men’s wallets that are valued at $974 from a store at Broadway Plaza. Police were not able to locate the subjects.
