Creek Diva: Oatmeal Fuel, Sand Vandalism & Tank Siphoned
Walnut Creek police reports March 17 to March 19
Saturday, March 17
DUI. A man was arrested early St. Patrick’s Day on charges of driving while under the influence after his allegedly crashed his car into a parked vehicle on the 2700 block of North Main Street at 1:02 a.m.
Public intoxication. Three females were arrested on public intoxication and resisting arrest charges after an former friend called police claiming one of the ladies was “underage and highly intoxicated” at a bar on the 1400 block of Locust Street at 1:09 a.m.
Oatmeal. A caller reported that an unknown subject allegedly put oatmeal in their gas tank of a car that was parked on Oak Knoll Loop.
Sand vandalism. A resident on the 3300 block of Citrus Avenue reported that someone “dumped sand onto his sprinkler system” and damaging the sprinkler heads.
Do not leave anything valuable in your vehicles. A truck was broken into on the third floor of a parking garage on the 1600 block of Locust Street. IPod, camera, jackets, and $200 cash were reported stolen.
Sunday, March 18
Two visits. A Cinco de Mayo employee was allegedly drunk and told to leave the restaurant at 12:14 a.m. He was arrested a short time later for allegedly on public intoxication charges. Police returned to the restaurant an hour later arrested another man for the same charge.
Four people vs. one cabbie. A fight broke out between the five subjects on the 1900 block of North Main Street at 1:55 a.m. One of the men was arrested on assault charges.
Ford burglarized. Smash ‘n’ grab occurred on Crosby Court overnight. A Ford Escape was broken into, a backpack and GPS device were reported stolen.
Monday, March 19
Home burglary. A home on the 1600 block of Parkside Drive was broken into sometime over the weekend. Coins and a HP laptop were stolen.
Creek Diva has seen the same guy! A man riding a motorized bicycle on the Iron Horse Trail was seen taking photos of students at Las Lomas at 12:17 p.m. Creek Diva just confronted the same man just a month ago. Police were unable to locate the subject.
Gassed. A tank of gas was stolen from a landscaping truck on the 1400 block of Arkell Road overnight. Readers, what are your tips to keep your gas in your tank? Key lock?
