Creek Diva: Probe Revealed Teriyaki Sauce
Walnut Creek police reports from Sept. 22 to Sept. 25, including deer along Ygnacio Valley Road.
Saturday, September 22
Rough night. A caller phoned Walnut Creek police about seeing a woman at a bus stop on North Civic appearing to “have a pretty rough night”. Things got rougher for the woman after she was arrested on drunkenness charges at 4:50 a.m.
What’s the problem eh? A family was in an argument at a home on Desert Circle, about “some family members leaving to Canada.” The group went on their separate ways without incident.
Cruising. The greenback flasher was back allegedly “harassing women, waving money, and blasting music” from his silver BMW 745I. He was spotted cruising downtown.
Sunday, September 23
Honda burglarized. Golf clubs and firefighting gear was stolen overnight from a Honda Civic that was parked at the Cypress Creek apartment complex on Ygnacio and Walnut Boulevard.
Trail robbery. Police are investigating an alleged robbery of a gold chain valued at $200 on the Iron Horse Trail.
Monday, September 24
Business burglarized. Three Dell laptops and checks were reported stolen from a business on the 1300 block of Ygnacio Valley Road sometime over the weekend.
Blood or teriyaki? A caller saw “lots of bloody footprints” near an apartment on Sharene Lane at 8:55 a.m. The conclusion: The 'blood' was teriyaki sauce.
Gold jewelry stolen. A home on Saklan Indian Drive was burglarized between Sept. 16 and Sept 21. A sliding door was left unlocked and $8,000 worth of gold jewelry was taken.
Tuesday, September 25
Honestly. Kudos to the kind and honest citizen who turned in a found iPhone downtown, the owner was able to pick it up.
A reminder. Please slow down on Ygnacio — several deer have been killed near the busy street in the last few weeks.
