Creek Diva: Reunited Wallets & Stolen Barber Pole

Walnut Creek police reports from July 12 to July 15.

Thursday, July 12

Watches stolen from store. The Tick Tock Store at Palos Verdes Mall reported a burglary overnight to the Walnut Creek Police Department. Several watches were stolen out of the store.

Lexus broken into. A white Lexus was broken into on the 1700 block of Carmel Drive overnight via passenger window. MacBook laptop, schoolbook, and $40 cash was reported stolen. Come on, folks, don’t leave your valuables anywhere in your car!

Very open house. Open house doesn’t mean up for grabs! Several items were reported stolen from a home up for sale on the 1500 block of Brentwood Court this afternoon. No suspects at this time.

Don’t smoke in the Open Space, ever. That goes for the couple that was seen lighting up off Youngs Valley Road at 4:13 p.m.

Friday, July 13

Printer stolen. A maintenance office on Sharene Lane was burglarized overnight. A Canon all-in-one printer was stolen. An older safe was pried, but not open.

Not suspicious. A caller was wary of a man watching kids play sports from his vehicle at Contra Costa Christian School on Mallard Drive. The man was just watching his child play at sports camp from the comfort of his car.

Reunited wallets. Kudos city employee and a resident of Whitecliff Way for turning over found wallets today. Both were items were reunited with their rightful owners!

Bike party. Seems like a few callers were disturbed at the East Bay Bike Party’s ride through Walnut Creek this evening. Creek Diva is all in favor of bike riding, as long as everyone is safe! Next ride is at Jack London Square on Aug. 18.

Saturday, July 14

Mountain bike misplaced. A Murray brand mountain bike was found on the 1500 block of Treat Boulevard this afternoon. The Contra Costa Sheriff's Office responded to the call; lease contact them if you are the owner.

Stolen. A barber pole was stolen from the 1300 block of North Main Street overnight.

Dog kicked, owner punched. A dog owner punched a man at the Heather Farm dog park after he allegedly kicked his dog. Yikes, folks, take it easy!

That’s a lot of makeup! A woman was arrested after allegedly stealing $700 worth of cosmetics at CVS on South California Boulevard this evening.

Sunday, July 15

PSA, ladies! Do not leave your purses unattended while at some local watering holes. A woman reported her purse stolen at Redux on Locust Street at 2:12 a.m. A bouncer also found a different purse in a nearby garbage can.

A Creek Diva first…. A woman was cited for begging within 500 feet of an off ramp on North Main and Geary at 2:53 a.m.
