Creek Diva: Road Raging, Drunken Stolen Specs & Brain Buckets

Walnut Creek police reports Feb. 22 to Feb. 24.

Wednesday, February 22

Camaro radiator. A radiator was stolen from a blue ’69 Camaro that was parked in an open garage on the 1700 block of Carmel Drive. The loss was valued at $350.

Drunken, stolen glasses. Las Lomas High School hosted a Wellness Fair, which included a display of “fatal vision glasses” that helps educate students of the consequences of alcohol abuse. A pair of the glasses was reported stolen the day before between 11:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

Busted! A Foothill Middle School student was caught on video stealing a teacher’s laptop computer, police reported. The student hid the computer, claiming the incident was just a prank.

Nice jacket. A $400 Lamborghini, yellow and black jacket went missing from a table at Crogan’s at 8:58 p.m.

Thursday, February 23

Park phones. Several phone lines at the community center at Heather Farm Park were cut in the past few days.

Road raging! What is going on around town? More than five reports in 24 hours of road rage-related incidents. Readers, how do you deal with road rage?

Sneaky guy. A gracious thank you to the caller on the 1400 block of Creekside Drive that called police after witnessing a man trying car handles in the neighborhood. The subject was located, arrested and charged with stealing items from an unlocked car. Neighbors of Creekside, please take all your valuables and lock your cars!

Friday, February 24

Drunken driver. A bartender refused to serve an obviously intoxicated patron on the 2500 block of North Main Street at 1:27 a.m. The bartender also tried to call the man a cab, but the patron took off in his silver Honda Civic. Smart move, employee. Not so smart move, patron. Creek Diva sure hopes you weren’t involved with a hit and run that occurred a few hours later at the Mt. Diablo/ Highway 24 on-ramp.

Wear your brain buckets, please! Some skateboarders were advised to follow skate park rules and wear property safety gear at 3:32 p.m.

86’d at Motel 6. A man was arrested on trespassing charges after he refused to leave Motel 6 on Main Street at 8:01 p.m.

Bush find. in bushes in front of Lift Lounge.
