Walnut Creek police reports from June 25 to June 28

Monday, June 25

Fight. Three men were engaged in a fight that resulted with one of the men under arrest on assault charges on North California and Cole Avenue at 1 a.m.

Another secret shopper scam. This time the victim who lives on Sunnyvale Avenue was bilked out of $977.28.

Pull your pants up, son! A caller was disturbed at a young man’s sagging sense of trouser fashion, thinking he was removing his pants altogether! Police stopped the man behind Nordstrom this afternoon, and he agreed to pull them up. 

Tuesday, June 26

Juveniles find trouble. Two juveniles were arrested on commercial burglary charges after they were allegedly in a closed business on the 1500 block of Sunnyvale Avenue at 3 a.m. The two kids were also tied to car break-ins in the area as well.

Stolen Mustang. A maroon 1988 Ford Mustang was stolen from a parking spot on the 300 block of North Civic Drive overnight.

Cheerio! A family was the victim of a London vacation rental scam. Craigslist has some great fraud prevention tips.

Lost longboard. A concerned citizen found a longboard skateboard near the soccer field at Civic Park. If you think it’s yours, please contact the police department.

Hydrant vs. car. A man was arrested on driving while under the influence after the vehicle he was driving allegedly hit a fire hydrant on Sierra Drive at 11:11 p.m.

Wednesday, June 27

Stolen Saab. A blue Saab, license plate 5CBM136, was stolen from a parking spot on the 1800 block of San Miguel Drive. The owner of vehicle stated that the key were in the unlocked vehicle at the time of the theft at 1:30 p.m.

Trinity Avenue target. Several car break-ins occurred overnight on Trinity Avenue. GPS devices, iPods, and personal items were reported stolen.

Thursday, June 28

Golf clubs stolen. A set of TaylorMade golf clubs were stolen out of a white Ford Fusion on the 400 block of North Civic Drive. Another vehicle parked nearby was also broken into.

Too much pizza! A caller reported a $600 fraudulent credit card purchase towards pizza from a business in Sacramento.

Dude, where’s my car? A caller reported a possible stolen car downtown. However the driver might have forgotten where it was a parked after a “night of drinking.” Hope you found your car and thanks for not driving home!

No luck on matches. The calls were inconclusive, police reported.
