Creek Diva: Sell Hot Booze by Facebook & Other Creepy Tales

Walnut Creek police reports from April 30 to May 2.

Monday, April 30

School computers stolen. Three computers were stolen from a classroom at Walnut Creek Intermediate overnight. A window was smashed to gain access to the computer classrooms in the 100 building.

Accusations by key. “Cheater” and “liar” were keyed into a BMW parked on the 2000 block of Camel Lane overnight.

Missing Toyota. A 2011 white Toyota Camry, license plate 6RPS169, was last seen on April 16, reported missing today at a dealership on the 2100 block of North Broadway.

In the act. Could these two men be the ones responsible for the catalytic converter thefts recently? A resident stopped a would-be theft of a catalytic converter off his Toyota Tacoma truck on the 100 block of Pringle Avenue at 3:03 p.m. The two men described as two white males in their early forties and homeless, took off running northbound on Rivera.

Tuesday, May 1

Stolen tools. Two PG&E contractor trucks were broken into at the PG&E Lakewood substation overnight. A fence was damaged as well as tools stolen. A short time later a major power outage was also reported in the area.

Social media bootlegging? A man was arrested for giving false identification to police and burglary after he was seen allegedly stealing bottles of booze at the downtown Safeway at 10:43 a.m. Creek Diva has a habit of checking people's names on Facebook; this guy actually advertised liquor for sale recently on his page.

Multiple charges.

Wednesday, May 2

Creepy. A man allegedly grabbed a female backside at Ross at 12:10 p.m. The man in question was warned for trespassing.

Slow down. To the driver of the Kia Sportage, you ran another driver off the road on Ygnacio Valley at 2:02 p.m. Shame on you and slow down.

Mom to the rescue. Mother’s Day is coming up, and this guy owes his Mom a big thank you. Kaiser security phoned police after seeing an extremely intoxicated man sitting in a car by the ER. He was not allowed into the building. Security was concerned that he was going to attempt to drive home. The man’s mother came to take care of him.

POD parked. A resident on Near Court complained to police about a moving POD “parked” in the red zone. Police could not ticket the POD because it wasn’t a moving vehicle. The owner of the POD moved it the next day.
