Creek Diva: Skate Ramp Deconstructed, Hamburger v. Windshield

Walnut Creek police reports from Abe's Birthday to Valentine's Day.

Sunday, February 12

Crackdown in the Creek continues. A woman was arrested on charges of DUI at 1:10 a.m. A man was arrested on charges of public intoxication at 1:14 a.m. Resisting arrest and drunkenness charges for another man at 1:28 a.m. Last but not least, some litterbugs were warned about dumping trash at a drive-thru restaurant on 2200 block of North Main Street at 2:36 a.m.

FYI, parking scofflaws. You cannot park in front of the Garden Center at Target for the Sunday Farmers Market. In case you were wondering Target has closed the Garden Center.

Shady skaters? It appeared that some kids built an unauthorized concrete ramp at the Heather Farm skate park at 1:42 p.m. An officer deconstructed the ramp. Creek Diva would hate to see the skate park closed due to this sort of foolishness.

Monday, February 13

Missing a gym bag and sneakers? A kind citizen found them under a tree near Hutchinson Road this afternoon. They were booked into found property.

Vandals. An AT&T junction box was vandalized on the 2600 block of Ygnacio Valley Road.

Tightly rolled. Five hundred dollars in cash went missing at the Locust Street Garage around 11 a.m. The money was “tightly rolled” and fell out of the woman’s pocket.

Stolen metal. Scrap metal was stolen over the weekend at the 200 block of North Wiget Lane. The loss was valued at $700.

Tuesday, February 14

Scary moments. A mother accidentally locked herself out of her home while her infant was inside on 100 block of Sand Wedge at 8:58 a.m. Mother and baby were reunited after a door from the garage was forced open, causing minor damage.

Arizona warrant. A traffic stop on Treat and Oak Grove at 12:25p.m resulted in the arrest of a felony fugitive warrant from Arizona for trafficking and stolen property. The man was taken directly to the Martinez Detention Center.

Where's my iPad? A Saxby’s employee found an iPad inside the coffee house on Main Street at 11a.m. The police were able to contact the owner. Big kudos, barrister!

No, grazie e se ne vanno! An unpermitted solicitor was cited on the 200 block of Oak Knoll Loop at 5:47 p.m. The man was asking for money to go to Italy.

Hamburglar. A man reported that a man driving a Toyota Prius smeared a hamburger on the windshield of his white Honda Civic on 1300 block of Locust Street at 6:13 pm.

'Tall handsome stranger.' A resident on the 1900 block of Countrywood Court phoned police after a solicitor said, “I hear you want to adopt a tall handsome stranger” at 7:23 p.m. The creepy man was not located. A short time later another call came in about a solicitor on Bancroft and Gil Port Lane who allegedly threatened to kill the caller's dog.
