Creek Diva: Smash'n Grabs And Burrito Battle

Walnut Creek police reports from Nov. 25 to Nov. 28.

Friday, November 25

Laptop stolen. Another break-in over at the Shadelands Business Park. A business on the 300 block of Lennon Lane was burglarized overnight. A window was smashed by a rock and a laptop was taken.

Missing man, located. A patient with recent brain injury and poor eyesight went missing on the 1700 block of Geary Road at 1 p.m. Luckily the man was located in nearby Pacheco.

Laptop & leather stolen. A Honda Civic was broken into on Sharene Lane via a smash ‘n’ grab on the driver’s side window. A brown leather jacket and Gateway laptop were stolen. Take your valuables with you!

Dumping. Three females were seen fleeing an olive green Ford Taurus after dumping stolen items out the window of the car at Broadway Plaza at 10:23a.m.

Saturday, November 26

Busy season for the WCPD. Two drivers were arrested separately for suspicion of driving while under the influence at Lawrence Way at 12:42 a.m. A fight occurred on the 1300 block of North California Blvd. A few folks got a wee bit too pickled, and were arrested for being drunk in public.

Samaritan taxi. Kudos, Mr. Taxi Driver. After finding a purse in the middle of Bonanza Street the driver flagged down a WCPD offer who turned it over to found property.

Car break-ins. Heads up, Via De Sol residents, there’s been an increase of car break-ins in your neighborhood. Please take your valuables with you and lock your cars!

Vandal. A juvenile was arrested for vandalism at Black Bear Diner and was released to his sister at 7:32 p.m.

Sunday, November 27

Did you miss the action downtown? A man arrested for hitting another man with a bottle at 1515? A fight at Vice Lounge on Arroyo Way —.

Burrito tussle. A boyfriend and girlfriend were arguing over the “ownership of a burrito” behind Cinco de Mayo at 2:22 a.m. Police advised them both and they went home, hopefully with full bellies.

Two nights in a row. The same man who was arrested on suspicion of DUI last night on Lawrence Way was arrested again, same charges, and same location at 2:39 a.m.

Monday, November 28

Office break-in. An office on the 1400 block of Maria Lane was broken into but luckily nothing was taken.

Two houses hit. A home on Perada Drive was broken into, a jar with $50 worth of coins and jewelry were reported stolen. The thief attempted to pry French doors open, then kicked the side garage door to gain entry into the home. Another home as also burglarized on the 200 block of Lakewood Road; jewelry was taken.
