Creek Diva: Strong-armers, Crossovers and An Unlicensed Dancer

Walnut Creek police reports from Feb. 8 to Feb. 11.

Wednesday, February 8

Battery theft. A car battery was reported stolen out of a Honda Civic in a parking spot on the 2700 block of Oak Road at 7:52 a.m.

Home invasion. A home on the 100 block of Wiget Lane was broken into while the residents were sleeping. Jewelry, laptops, watches, and sunglasses were reported stolen between 8:15 a.m and 9:30 a.m.

Stolen crossover. A black Ford Flex "crossover" vehicle, license plate 6PTF044, was stolen from the 500 block of North Civic Drive overnight.

Thursday, February 9

35 cars cited. Thirty-five cars were cited at Northgate High for parking infractions, including one vehicle that was parked in the handicapped spot without a placard.

Strong-arm robbery. A victim was hit from behind in a strong-arm robbery on Lacassie and North California at 5:35 p.m. The first subject was described as a white male in his early twenties, 5-foot-10, thin curly brown hair, and wearing a dark windbreaker. The second subject was not identified. An iPhone was taken and the victim had minor injuries.

Litterbug. A person was cited for littering at the skate park at Heather Farm Park at 11:44 p.m.

Friday, February 10

Five arrests. There were five arrests after an early morning car theft on the 1500 block of Sunnyvale Avenue.

Frustrated. A Nikon 3100 DSLR and Garmin GPS device were stolen out of a car parked on the 100 block of Near Court overnight. Creek Diva is getting rather frustrated with the amount of crime that occurs in her neighborhood.

Saturday, February 11

Ew! A man was cited for public urination behind Crogan’s at 12:46 a.m. Also downtown, three people were arrested on charges of driving while under the influence.

Target arrests.

Walnut Creek’s got talent! A man was seen dancing by the box office at the Lesher Center for the Arts this afternoon. The mysterious hoofer was gone upon officer arrival.
