DUI Suspect Resists Arrest At Hospital

Police responded to a call for backup when a woman involved in an alcohol-related crash assaulted an officer.

A bevy of sirens screamed down S. Main St. Thursday night around 7:30, responding to a call for backup from Kaiser Permanente Medical Center.

According to Lt. Lanny Edwards, a woman suspected of driving under the influence crashed her car around 7 p.m. Thursday. She was transported to Kaiser, where she suddenly became argumentative, and then violent. She screamed, thrashed about and, at one point, kicked the officer in the face.

He called for help and three other units responded. But by the time they arrived, the woman had been placed in restraints, and was being treated for minor injuries sustained in the car crash. She was later taken to county jail in Martinez.

Give the "B---h" what she deserves; if she has no respect for authority and/or not taking responsibility for her actions then the judge needs to teach her a hard lesson which pales in comparison had she run into another driver or pedestrian and killed them. Unfortunately, it happens everyday in this country and if there's anybody reading my comment who disagrees, count your blessings she didn't drive into you or someone you love.

Are arrest records a secret now? Why can't we have the name of the woman who was arrested?
