Farmers Market Van Stolen From Parking Lot

The van contained signs, banners, cones and other items used in the Saturday market at the Shadelands Business Park

A van belonging to the Diablo Valley Farmers Market was stolen late Wednesday night.

The white 2013 Nissan van was parked in the Citrus Shopping Center lot at Oak Grove Road and Citrus Avenue when it was taken, according to a story in the Contra Costa Times.

The van contained signs, banners, traffic cones and tables. It was used to help set up the Saturday farmers markets at the Shadelands Business Park.

Officials at the farmers market told the Times the market will still open, but the theft is a hardship for the organization.
