Fire Damages Home in Northern Walnut Creek

The one-alarm blaze damaged the garage and part of a house on San Luis Road

A fire damaged a two-story home in northern Walnut Creek while the occupant was away on Wednesday morning.

The one-alarm blaze broke out about 11:40 a.m. at the home in the 2100 block of San Luis Road, according to a story in the Contra Costa Times.

The lone occupant of the home is out of the country, fire officials said. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.

Two cars and the garage were destroyed. There is no monetary damage estimate yet, the Times reported.
