A woman walking westbound on Olympic Boulevard near South Main Street today -- Friday -- at 10:44 a.m. was robbed of her purse by a man who then ran into a parking garage, according to police.
The woman said a Hispanic male in his 20s grabbed her handbag, fled into the Plaza Escuela East parking garage and then took off in a white pick-up truck, said the Walnut Creek Police Department.
Two other Hispanic males were also reportedly in the vehicle, police said.
Walnut Creek police received information a delivery truck driver was in the area and witnessed the strong-arm robbery. The witness is encouraged to contact the the police department at (925) 943-5844.
