Getting High on Endust, Lots of Rude Solicitors, Cursing Characters

The following information was taken from the Walnut Creek Police Log and rewritten by Walnut Creek Patch.

Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013

8:41am – A man on Juniper Lane reported to police that his credit was “under 24-hour attack,” and that whoever stole his personal information had just purchased another car in his name.

11:15am – A man was found near the dumpster at Target on the 1800 block of Main St., sitting cross-legged and incoherent. He had apparently just stolen and inhaled Endust to get high. He was transported to Kaiser Permanente for treatment. Endust? Really?

6:27pm – A man went into a restaurant on the 1500 block of N. Main, threw a glass and ran out.

7:17pm – A juvenile was arrested for robbery after he stole a cell phone and wallet, and tried to steal a bicycle at 1300 Civic Dr. The victim had multiple cuts and bruises.

7:54pm – At the corner of N. Main and Ygnacio Valley Road, a woman reported that a man tried to get into her car at a red light. He was described as a white male in his 40s, with grey/brown hair, a plaid shirt and cargo shorts. A search of the area failed to locate the suspect.

10:48am – A homeless woman was sitting in front of a store on the 600 block of Broadway, cursing at customers. When she was asked to leave, she didn’t get any friendlier. It took the persuasion of uniformed officers to convince her that she should mind her manners and move on.

10:49am – On the 3400 block of San Carlos Dr., there was a report of raw sewage leaking out of the restroom by ball field three. There’s a word for what kind of day that can lead to.

2:46pm – An Escalade drove up to a driveway on Bradley Ave., and someone threw a television out of the window. It sounds like a David Lynch film.

3:45pmm – One man was arrested on an outstanding warrant as police investigated a report of people shooting plastic BB guns at people in the skate park on the 300 block of N. San Carlos Dr.

5:41pm – A black man in his 20s received a citation for soliciting without a license on the 1800 block of Burl Hollow Court.

5:49pm – A home was broken into through an open window on Parkland Dr. A laptop was stolen.

6:30pm – A solicitor described as a white male with a beard knocked on the door of a home on the 1900 block of Montclair Circle. The resident said she wasn’t interested through the closed door, but the man kept knocking. When police arrived, the solicitor discovered he had forgotten his permit. He had certainly forgotten his manners.

7:21pm – A black man in his 20s was reported on San Andrea Dr. soliciting door to door, and not taking no for an answer. He was gone when police arrived.

7:26pm – A man on the 3600 block of N. Main St. was arrested for being drunk in public as he yelled obscenities at passersby.

2:12pm – A smash and grab was reported on Quail Ct. A backpack was stolen, and the suspect apparently left his shoes behind.

2:17pm – Another smash and grab was reported on the 1100 block of S. Main St. Two briefcases, client files and an iPad were stolen.

2:21pm – A man on N. Civic Dr. reported that another man, who he apparently knew, called and threatened to “crush his face in.” Police contacted the would-be face-crusher, who agreed not to crush any faces or contact the other man again.

Safe and Sound Security sent a car load of incredibly aggressive solicitors "Do you want to advertise for us?". Yes, I'm advertising - stay away from this company! Car was broken in to a couple of days later - related? You decide. I feel more secure having reported Safe and Sound Security to WCPD.

Jim, Since so many of your readers do not reside within the city limits, but in the county, would you consider reporting out on the Sheriff's blotter as well? Thanks!

Phone calls from sales people are bad enough, but I trust no one coming to my door unless I know them...These days you would have to be crazy to let someone in your home you don't know.
