Knifepoint Robbery in Broadway Plaza Garage

Update: Two female suspects approached two victims in their parked car, stole their purses and fled in a dark Lexus sports utility vehicle.

Police are looking for two female suspects who approached two victims in a parked car at the Broadway Plaza parking structure Wednesday evening, threatened them with a knife and stole their purses.

The suspects were last seen running through the upper level of Macy's and "possibly leaving" in a dark-colored Lexus sports utility vehicle, according to a Walnut Creek Police Department alert. The robbery was at 5:22 p.m. Wednesday in the garage, near Macy's. Police are going over a poor-quality photos showing the suspects from a Macy's security camera, Cashion said WCPD Sgt. Tom Cashion.


Both suspects were described as black women, about age 22, 5-foot-6 and thin builds. One was described as having tattoos on both arms, curly dark hair, and wearing a strapless denim jumpsuit, Cashion said. The other was wearing a brightly colored, long tribal dress.

There were no physical injuries, Cashion said.

How about you research the current ADA guidelines regarding surface materials for play areas?Read More Walnut Creek is simply acting to be in compliance. Not sure where you get the idea that wood chips are "much more dangerous".
