UPDATE: Three motorcyclists injured in Ygnacio Valley Road crash

The crash closed the eastbound lanes of Ygnacio Valley Road for about 30 minutes

Police arrested two motorcyclists on suspicion of driving under the influence in a collision that involved three motorcycles and temporarily shut down eastbound Ygnacio Valley Road east of Oak Grove Road.

The call about the crash came in at 5:40 p.m. The crash happened about a quarter mile east of Oak Grove Road, police said. 

The crash left two Walnut Creek residents with serious but non life-threatening injuries, a 47-year-old and a 48-year-old woman.  Police said the two were driving recklessly before the accident.

A third motorcyclist also was injured by declined medical help and was not arrested.
