A man armed with a hatchet robbed the 7-Eleven store on North Civic Drive Sunday night, according to police.
At 11:03 pm, the Walnut Creek Police Department received a call from an employee at the store, located at 301 N. Civic, that a suspect -- wielding a hatchet -- had just robbed the business and fled in a "newer" silver four-door vehicle.
The amount of money taken was not disclosed; the employee was not injured during the robbery, police said.
