A 27-year-old San Ramon man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder late Monday night, after his mother was beaten by a baseball bat, San Ramon Police said in a press release.
Police responded after hearing a report that an elderly woman was yelling for help and bleeding badly on Durango Lane at around 11:50 p.m.
The suspect, Aaron Ricks, was on the front porch with a baseball bat when officers arrived. After being disarmed, Ricks was arrested and booked at the Martinez Detention Facility.
