Moderate Injury in Double-Truck Collision

Dashboard photo of Treat Boulevard crash sent in by Patch reader.

Patch reader Janiece Elliott sent in this dashboard photo of an accident on Treat Boulevard Tuesday.

It took firefighters a while to extricate the driver of the dump truck, which collided with the back of a Lucky's semi truck, said Elliott. The driver was transported to a local hospital with moderate injuries, reported Fire Marshal Lewis Broschard of the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District.

The accident took place around 10 a.m. Tuesday on Treat at Buskirk Ave. The dump truck's cabin was smashed, Elliott reported.

I hate sand in parks. Nice breeding area for lice, and a great place for ferrel cats to poop. IRead More can't wait for them to do the park at Arbolado.

How about you research the current ADA guidelines regarding surface materials for play areas?Read More Walnut Creek is simply acting to be in compliance. Not sure where you get the idea that wood chips are "much more dangerous". A reasonable overview of the current regulations can be found here: http://risk.utah.gov/newsletter/documents/playground_surfacing.pdf If you disagree with the regulations, please contact your representatives.
