NFL Star Marshawn Lynch Suspected of DUI
Seattle Seahawks running back busted in Oakland, booked at Santa Rita Jail.
Seattle Seahawks star and Bay-Area hometown hero Marshawn Lynch was arrested Saturday in Oakland for allegedly driving under the influence, according to the Alameda County Sheriff's Office.
Oakland native Lynch, 26, who two days earlier presented a scholarship to an Oakland gunshot victim, was arrested by the California Highway Patrol and booked at the Santa Rita Jail in Dublin, said Sgt. Ray Kelly of the sheriff's department.
County records indicate he was cited for the charges and released on Sunday. He was drafted as a rookie in 2007 by the Buffalo Bills, after finishing his college career at the University of California, Berkeley, where he was Cal's second all-time career rusher with 3,230 yards, according to sports reports.
