Overturned Big Rig Snarls Highway 24

Westbound lanes reopened at 2:20 p.m. Monday.

An overturned big-rig snarled traffic on westbound state Highway 24 in Walnut Creek Monday afternoon.

The big-rig jackknifed and overturned at about 1:05 p.m., blocking
three westbound lanes carrying traffic from Interstate Highway 680 to westbound Highway 24 in Lafayette, Officer Scott Cakebread said.

A Sig-alert was issued at 1:25 p.m., California Highway Patrol Officer Scott Cakebread said. The big-rig was moved to the shoulder and lanes reopened at about 2:20 p.m.
