Pleasant Hill Youth Hurt in Hit & Run Crash

The young man is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries in the hit-and-run collision at Paso Nogal and Norse Drive, Pleasant Hill.

An 18-year-old Pleasant Hill youth is in the hospital after a Wednesday night hit-and-run accident near the intersection of Paso Nogal and Norse Drive, near Diablo Valley College.

According to Pleasant Hill police, a car driven by a Martinez man, 54-year-old Rockwood Sizemore, collided with the car driven by the Pleasant Hill youth at about 9:43 p.m. Wednesday, and Sizemore fled the scene. The young man’s car overturned and he was trapped inside. Emergency crews responded and freed him, and he was taken to a hospital where he is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police have not released the young man's identity.

Police later found Sizemore on Center Avenue in Martinez, driving a red car with collision damage. He was arrested on suspicion of felony hit and run and booked into county jail in Martinez.
