Suspected Burglary Trio Arrested in Walnut Creek After They Smashed Car Into CVS in Antioch

The suspects led police on a multi-city chase before their arrest Thursday.

Three men were arrested early this morning after allegedly crashing into and burglarizing a CVS Pharmacy in Antioch and then leading police on a multi-city chase that ended in Walnut Creek, police said.

Officers responded around 5:55 a.m. to an alarm at the CVS at 2511 Somersville Road and found that someone had driven a car into the store's front window and burglarized the store, according to police.

Police said officers were able to detain one of the suspects and spotted two other suspects in a car believed to be involved in the burglary.

When officers tried to stop the car, the driver sped away, leading police on a chase that ended in Walnut Creek.

Walnut Creek police located two men determined to have been inside the car and arrested them.

Officers also found the car used during the chase.

All three men taken into custody were arrested on suspicion of commercial burglary. Their names were not immediately available.
