Three SF Women Arrested for Burglary at Macy's Saturday

Police say the women fled the department store after grabbing several items.

-Bay City News

An alert police officer spotted three burglary suspects, which led to their arrests in Walnut Creek Saturday evening, police said.

Julie Keresoma, 18, Lachandra Dunn, 19, and Danina Prestley, 19, all of San Francisco, ran into Macy's, at 1301 Broadway Plaza, and grabbed several items before running out and fleeing by car at about 6:25 p.m., according to police.

One officer spotted the car nearby on Mount Diablo Boulevard and made a traffic stop just before the on-ramp to state Highway 24, police said.

The officer, now with assisting officers, recovered all the stolen merchandise, police said. All three women were arrested on suspicion of burglary, conspiracy and possession of stolen property, according to police.

They were booked into the Martinez Detention Facility where they are being held on $60,000 bail.

It is getting crazy at Broadway Plaza...I remember not so long ago, when people didn't know Broadway Plaza existed, let alone know where Walnut Creek was.

I agree with you and that's why it has become necessary to take my shopping elsewhere.

All I know is ever since the Cheesecake Factory came in a few years ago, the hooligans and thugs from Oakland, Richmond, bay point, Pittsburg and Antioch come our way for a night on the town. Our police department needs to step it up. Make a few bike policemen always circling. My mother-in-law was the one customer in Davidson and Licht last week when the smash and grabbed happened. She is scared, and rightfully so, to go back. Come on WCPD, it's not about writing tickets and DUI's anymore, step up the action! And wake up, city council! Our sleepy little town is not so sleepy anymore. Find a way to protect our downtown, our children and us!!
