Tracy Man Tased by Walnut Creek Police After Late Night Scuffle

A man associated with a motorcycle club was subdued by police as he tried to run away.

A member of a motorcycle club was tasered early Sunday morning as he fought with police outside a Locust Ave. establishment.

Police were called to Redux Lounge at 1 a.m. Sunday morning to investigate reports of an assault. While they were speaking with one of the victims outside the club, they noticed a group of men fighting with the security guard. During that scuffle, one of the men, identified as 33-year-old Matthew Hanmore of Tracy, fought with police as he tried to run from the club. At that point, police used a Taser to keep him in custody.

Police say the fight began when Hanmore and four other subjects assaulted a security officer multiple times. The other four suspects fled the area. Two security officers received minor injuries and a third was transported to the hospital for treatment of unknown injuries. Hanmore was arrested for assault and transported to Martinez County Jail.
