Trains Stopped After Person Hit At West Oakland BART Station

BART service is stopped this evening -- Friday -- between the Embarcadero and West Oakland stations after a person was struck by a train at the West Oakland station, according a BART spokeswoman.

The incident was reported shortly before 10:15 p.m. on the San Francisco-bound tracks, according to BART spokeswoman Alicia Trost.
       
No word on when service will resume.
