A multiple-vehicle crash on northbound I-680 created a traffic jam between 1:10 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. while crews worked to remove debris and an overturned dump truck.
Dirt was spread over at least three lanes of the freeway as an old dump truck came to rest on its side, just after the Monument Boulevard on-ramp.
Initial reports say another car, a dark Land Rover, had also overturned and a blue four-door sedan could be seen with its front smashed into the freeway sound wall.
No major injuries were reported, according to the CHP .
