Motorcyclist was in stable condition; turkey not likely to have survived collision.

All lanes of southbound Interstate Highway 680 in Walnut Creek are clear Sunday morning following an earlier collision between a motorcyclist and a flying turkey, the CHP reports.

The collision was reported around 8 a.m. near North Main Street, and briefly caused the closure of the No. 3 lane, CHP Officer E. Anderson said.

A passerby witnessed the collision and called the emergency services, according to Anderson. The motorcyclist was in stable condition when paramedics arrived, although the turkey was not likely to have survived the collision, Anderson said.
