Two Major Accidents In Walnut Creek on Sunday

A collision in Rossmoor resulted in serious injuries.

There were two major accidents in Walnut Creek on Sunday.

The first occured at 5:32 a.m., when a juvenile returning home from his senior ball lost control of his car, drove over the median of Ygnacio Valley Road and hit a power pole. The car then crossed over the other side of the road before it struck a fence of a home on Venado Camino, according to Walnut Creek police.

Police closed Ygnacio Valley in both directions for an hour until the power lines could be repaired.
