Walgreen's Robbed Sunday Morning

Police in Walnut Creek are searching for a suspect who robbed a drug store Sunday morning (June 9) and made off with prescription drugs.

Officers responded to a report of a robbery at the Walgreens Pharmacy located at 2900 N. Main St. at about 1:45 a.m., police said.

The suspect, described as a man in his 20s, around 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches tall, with a medium build, entered the pharmacy and said he was armed, according to police.

He demanded two containers of prescription drugs, police said.

After getting the drugs, the suspect fled on foot. Police were unable to locate the man.

The suspect was last seen wearing a black jacket, gray pants, black shoes, a gray hat and a bandana over his face, police said.

No one was injured in the robbery.

Police continue to investigate.
