Walnut Creek Man Arrested For Attempted Sex Crimes With Minors

29-year-old Ariel Romero Ortigoza has been charged with trying to seduce middle school students on Facebook.

Police arrested 29-year-old Ariel Romero Ortigoza of Walnut Creek Wednesday on suspicion of trying to seduce middle school girls into sex acts.

According to police, parents of the students at Walnut Creek Intermediate School reported on Feb. 24 that their children were receiving lewd and lascivious texts and Facebook messages from an unknown adult man. The man was trying to arrange meetings with the girls to have sex.

Working with school administrators, police found other students that had also received similar communications from Ortigoza.

On Wednesday, police arrested Ortigoza and said they found evidence of the crimes.

He was booked into county jail, and held on $65,000 bail. He is charged with sending harmful matter to a minor with the intent to commit a sex act, and attempt to meet a minor to engage in lewd or lascivious behavior.

Not sure where you get the idea that wood chips are "much more dangerous".
