Sunday, Jan. 5

DUI arrest: A 23-year-old man was arrested at 1:54 a.m. for driving under the influence in the 500 block of Lawrence Way.

Shed burglary: Police were notified at 10:14 a.m. that someone had pried open the emergency preparedness shed on school grounds in the 4000 block of Walnut Boulevard and taken a canopy and three bottles of water.

Bicycle wheels stolen: Officers were informed at 11:48 a.m. that both wheels of a Scattante bicycle were stolen from a residence in the 500 block of Civic Drive.

Theft arrest: A 22-year-old woman was arrested at 4:18 p.m. on suspicion of stealing $7,000 worth of merchandise from the Burberry store in Broadway Plaza. Store employees said the woman and two other females grabbed the items and ran from the store. The other two suspect were not caught.

Monday, Jan. 6

Public drunkenness: A 34-year-old man was arrested at 1:01 a.m. for public drunkenness in the 1500 block of Olympic Boulevard.

Auto burglary: Police were informed at 6:08 a.m. that a Toyota Camry in the 300 block of Masters Court had been broken into. Stolen were power tools, angle grinder, hammer drill, angle drill and hand tools.

Another auto burglary: Officers were notified at 8:31 a.m. that a Jeep Grand Cherokee had its window smashed in a parking lot on the 2700 block of North Main Street. Burglars stole a laptop and a digital camera.

Copper tubing theft: Police were notified at 8:34 a.m. that more than 200 feet of copper tubing had been stolen the roof of a building in the 4000 block of Walnut Boulevard. The thieves also took seven condensation pipes.

Drunk student: Officers were informed at 9:13 a.m. that a Las Lomas High student with a high level of alcohol was in the nurses office. The 15-year-old girl was taken to a hospital for treatment for alcohol intoxication.

Car puncher: Police were notified at 11:03 a.m. about a reckless driver who had just left the courthouse parking lot in the 600 block of Ygnacio Valley Road. Witnesses said the woman punched her car with her fist before she got in the vehicle and sped out of the parking lot.

Auto theft: Officers were notified at 2:09 p.m. that a dark blue Chevrolet SUV had been stolen from the 300 block of North Civic Drive.

Garage burglary: A homeowner called police at 6:23 p.m. to report a new refrigerator and microwave had been stolen from his garage in the 2500 block of Mohawk Court during the past week. The side door to the garage had been left open while contractors did work inside the house.

Tuesday, Jan. 7

Auto theft: Police were informed at 1:45 a.m. that a 2001 white Dodge with a bicycle in the bed had been stolen from Amberwood Lane.

Truck burglary: Officers were notified at 6:52 a.m. that the bed cover of a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado truck had been pried open in the 1800 block of San Miguel Drive. More than $2,000 in tools were stolen.

Shotgun stolen: Police were notified at 6:41 p.m. that a shotgun had been stolen from an unlocked Toyota Tundra on Rahn Court.

Wednesday, Jan. 8

Light bulb thefts: An employee at City Hall reported to police at 10:24 a.m. that light bulbs have been stolen on several occasions from an elevator inside the building.

Bicycle stolen: Officers were informed at 11:46 a.m. that a black men's Cannondale mountain bike had been stolen from a rack in a gated garage in the 1700 block of Botelho Drive. The thieves had cut the lock that was on the bicycle.

DUI arrest: A 36-year-old man was arrested at 5:24 p.m. for driving under the influence at the corner of Caravelle Court and Caravelle Drive.

Auto theft: Police were informed at 5:36 p.m. that a red Chevy Camaro convertible had been stolen from a lot in the 1300 block of Pine Street.

Auto burglary: Officers were notified at 7:02 p.m. that the window of a black Jeep had been smashed in the 1900 block of Olympic Boulevard. A wallet and jeans had been stolen.

Another auto burglary: Police were informed at 8:37 p.m. that the window had been smashed on a Toyota on the top floor of a parking lot in the 1400 block of Duncan Street. Two backpacks, two Dell computes and an iPad were stolen.

Public drunkenness: A 29-year-old man was arrested at 11:22 p.m. in the 1400 block of Creekside Drive after witnesses said he refused to let his girlfriend get in her car.

Thursday, Jan. 9

Auto theft: Officers were notified at 7:58 a.m. that a 1999 white Ford F250 truck had been stolen overnight from the 3100 block of Manor Avenue.

Cloned credit card: A 31-year-old man was arrested at 1:28 p.m. for attempting to use a cloned credit card in the 1100 block of South Main Street.

Bench theft: Police were notified at 3:52 p.m. that a bench might have been stolen from Lower Golden Rain Road in Rossmoor. A bus driver reported seeing three men putting the bench in the back of a truck.

Vacant home burglary: A real estate agent reported to police at 6:59 p.m. that a mattress, box springs, table, chairs and dressers had been stolen from an unoccupied home that's for sale in the 2900 block of Saklan Indian Drive.

Auto burglary: Officers were informed at 9:52 p.m. that a purse had been stolen from black Tesla parked in the 2800 block of North Main Street. The burglar had smashed a window to gain entrance.

DUI hit-and-run: A 33-year-old man was arrested at 11:15 p.m. for driving the influence, hit and run, resisting arrest and a probation violation after witnesses reported seeing his silver BMW swerving while traveling on Ygnacio Valley Road near Walnut Boulevard.
