Walnut Creek Police Looking For Armed Robbers Who Hit Holiday Inn Monday Night

Police are searching for two suspects in connection with an armed robbery at a Holiday Inn in Walnut Creek on Monday night.
 
At about 10:50 p.m. on Monday, police received a call from a Holiday Inn, located at 2730 N. Main St., reporting an armed robbery. According to police, the suspects entered the hotel via the front door and demanded money from the employee tending to the front desk.

One of the suspects was armed with a handgun, according to police. After receiving the money, the suspects fled the hotel on foot. The police K-9 unit began a search for the suspects, but did not locate anyone, police said.

No one was injured during the robbery and the incident remains under investigation, according to police.

Both suspects are described as black male adults in their early 20s, standing between 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet tall with thin builds, police said. The first suspect was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, a white shirt, dark blue jeans, red shoes, a dark hat, white and black gloves and had a partial covering over his face.

He was armed with a handgun, according to police. The second suspect was wearing a green hooded sweatshirt, light blue jeans, black shoes, white gloves and a partial covering over his face. The suspect was not seen carrying a weapon, police said. Anyone with information regarding the armed robbery is asked to contact police at (925) 943-5844.
